I’m a huge fan of anyone who can convince me that I like something that I have previously professed hatred for. So, today, I’m thanking Flying Lotus for making me realize that Lil’ Wayne isn’t that bad – or, perhaps,

Flying Lotus just made me realize how much I love him.

Flying Lotus a.k.a. Steven Ellison, is a California hip-hop producer and DJ in the vein of Prefuse 73 or The Books, churning out smooth-as-butter remixes and mash-ups for the masses. His most recent accomplishment is this track, which combines FlyLo’s signature messy, ambient beats with Lil Wayne’s single “A Milli”, creating something that even the most die-hard indie fan would have to drop all their shit to listen to. I’m a very impressionable person.

I also really enjoy bandwagons. I’m not the ‘fearless’ type. Sorry, Oberlin College admissions.

So, when you put two and two together (easily led, lack of backbone, insatiable desire to be cool), you get this: my blog. Kapow! Here we go.

I’m going to try my hardest to NOT turn this blog into my collegiate LiveJournal; as a matter of fact, I’m going to write as little about myself as humanely possible. This will be a blog of substance. I swear it. The subject of the substance is, as of right now, unconfirmed. Something you’ll enjoy. I swear that, too.

So, welcome. Hopefully, through your overwhelmingly positive feedback, I will recieve the laud and adoration that I need to boost my failing self-esteem. But just know: If I say I like something, that means you have to like it too.
